The 2020 Cobra King Forged TEC has a 29.5-degree 7-iron, and the retail set ran from the 4-iron (21 degrees) to the gap wedge (49). It is a players-distance iron with a hollow body. Construction
Golf.com (first look, October 2019) describes a hollow cavity filled with foam microspheres to tune sound and feel, a metal-injection-molded tungsten toe weight, a PWRShell forged face insert and a thin topline and sole. The stock steel shaft is the KBS $-Taper Lite and the graphite is the Project X Catalyst 80, with a Lamkin Crossline grip with Cobra Connect sensors. The launch price was $1,100 in steel and $1,200 in graphite for a 4 to GW set, per Golf.com. Golf.com notes a one-length version exists.
Who they suit
Golf.com says it is for better players and mid-handicappers, pairing distance and forgiveness with a look that should appeal to better players.
