The Clicgear 3.5+, 4.0 and Rovic RV1S are older carts that Clicgear no longer lists as new. Buy the three-wheel Model 4.5 if you want a three-wheel cart from Clicgear today, or the four-wheel Model 8.0+ if you carry a large cart bag (Clicgear says the 8.0+ is not compatible with stand bags). The RV1S is the one with a swivel front wheel. For the wider choice, see our golf push cart guide.
What Clicgear sells now
On 5 October 2026, Clicgear's cart page listed two new carts, the Model 4.5 and the Model 8.0+, plus reconditioned carts. The old Model 3.5 address on Clicgear's site now shows the Model 4.5 page. The Model 4.0 and Rovic RV1S no longer had product pages as new carts. Clicgear's reconditioned-cart listing offered the Model 4.0 and 8.0+ (sold out at the time of checking), and its manuals and videos page still carries guides for the 3.0 and 3.5+, 4.0, 8.0 and Rovic RV1S, so existing owners can still get support documents. We have not checked current prices or stock.
Clicgear's own comparison of its two current carts:

Source: Clicgear Model 8.0+ page (comparison table) and Clicgear Model 4.5 page. Clicgear's 4.5 feature list gives the folded size as 13 x 15 x 24 in, while its comparison table says 23 in high.
The older models compared
These are the models people usually search for. Clicgear no longer documents their specs on a current product page, so the figures below come from our own reviews and are approximate. Only the 8.0+ figures are checked against Clicgear's current page.
| Clicgear 3.5+ | Clicgear 4.0 | Clicgear 8.0+ | Rovic RV1S | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wheels | 3 | 3 | 4 | 3 |
| Front wheel | Fixed | Fixed | Not stated | Swivel, lockable from the handle |
| Weight | 18 to 19 lb (reviews disagree) | About 21 lb (our review) | 22 lb | 16 to 17 lb (reviews disagree) |
| Folded size | See note | See note | 27 x 15 x 17 in | See note |
| Brake | Handle hand brake | Handle hand brake | Handle hand brake, dual front wheels | Foot brake on the left wheel |
Notes: our own reviews disagree with themselves on some figures. The 3.5+ and RV1S reviews each give two different folded sizes, and the 4.0 review's folded size differs from other listings, so we leave folded sizes out for those three. The 3.5+ is listed at 18 lb in its review and 19 lb in our 3.5+ vs RV1S comparison; the RV1S at 17 lb in its review and 16 lb in that comparison. The 8.0+ weight (22 lb) and folded size match Clicgear's current page.
Which one suits you
- You carry a stand bag or a light bag and want a three-wheel cart: the 3.5+ or 4.0 if you can find one used or reconditioned, otherwise the 4.5. Clicgear's comparison table says the Model 4.5 fits stand bags and cart bags.
- You use a large cart bag and want stability: the 8.0+. Clicgear describes it as built for large golf bags and fully loaded rounds.
- You want the tightest turning on and around the green: the Rovic RV1S, with the swivel wheel unlocked. Our RV1S review also points out the trade-off: it has a foot brake on the left wheel rather than a handle brake.
- You want the most storage and phone and rangefinder access: the 4.5. Clicgear's own comparison with the 4.0 lists a redesigned top-opening console, an integrated phone holder with charging cable access, a magnetic rangefinder area, more storage and an adjustable drink holder.
Model by model
Clicgear 3.5+
The long-running three-wheel design. Clicgear's archived Model 3.5 page describes added cargo net storage, a new bag strap system, a redesigned brake and an improved umbrella clip over earlier versions. Our 3.5+ review covers features and the front-wheel adjustment.
Clicgear 4.0
Our Model 4.0 review treats it as the improved 3.5+ and lists the differences, including the brake, bag straps and bag adjustment. Clicgear's article on the 4.5 notes that the 4.0 console opened sideways, which the 4.5 changed to a top-opening design.
Clicgear 8.0+
Four wheels, a slide-to-close fold and dual front-wheel brakes. It is the heaviest of the models compared at 22 lb. Read our Model 8.0+ review.
Clicgear Rovic RV1S
A Rovic-branded cart with a swivel front wheel. See our RV1S review and the direct 3.5+ vs RV1S comparison.
Three wheels or four
Our 3-wheel vs 4-wheel guide covers this in full. In short, our guide treats four-wheel carts such as the 8.0+ as the more stable choice and three-wheel carts such as the 4.5 as easier to turn. The practical test is the bag you carry: Clicgear says the 8.0+ does not fit stand bags, so if you use one, choose a three-wheel Clicgear.
Accessories
Check compatibility before buying accessories for a specific model. Clicgear says legacy accessories that screw into the handle's umbrella thread do not fit the 4.5, which uses a metric thread, and that some accessories are made for the 8.0 and 8.0+ only and others do not fit them. Each accessory page has a compatibility tab.
Alternatives
If you want to compare outside Clicgear, our reviews cover the Caddylite 11.5 V3, the Bag Boy Quad XL and the CaddyTek Superlite 4-wheel cart.
